How to Make Bracelet with Crystal Beads and Seed Beads

Crystal beads and seed beads are an essential part of any beader’s bead stash. They come in an amazing array of colors, sizes and shapes. These 4mm crystal bicone shaped are some of the most versatile ones. They can be used in so many ways, for example as spacer beads and accent beads but also for bead weaving. These crystals are sparkly and even-sized and the quality is outstanding even though they are very affordable.Seed beads are versatile in jewelry making too.

If you wish to make something simple but stylish to complement your summer outfits, try these bracelets that are made of seed beads and bicone crystal beads with bead crochet technique. They are quick to make so you can easily crochet several bracelets to use with your summer dresses. They are also great with plain jeans and a t-shirt. These bracelets can be worn either one at a time for an everyday look or several stacked together for more sparkle and shine.

Choose seed beads and crystal beads in coordinating colors like in these bracelets that are pictured. Or if you are feeling a bit more adventurous pick up contrasting colors to add interest. If you use size 8/0 seed beads then 4mm crystal bicones fit perfectly. In these bracelets the clasp can be either big or small and you can choose whichever style you like. Memory wire is used to maintain the curvy shape. Cord ends finish the ends of the crocheted rope beautifully.

3. Simply crochet with slip stitches 1 bead to every stitch until you have used all the beads. Here is how to make a slip stitch with bead: insert the crochet hook to the chain stitch under the bead, slide the next bead as close to the crochet hook as you can, take the thread via back side of the bead in the chain stitch,  pull the thread through both loops on the crochet hook. Continue likewise. The crystals will sit on top of each other.

4. Weave in the thread ends. Cut a piece of memory wire, straighten it a little with pliers and then slip it inside the tube you just crocheted. String a bead cap to each end.

5. Make a wrapped  loop to each end of the memory wire. Attach the clasp using jump rings.
